Schreiber Property

The Schreiber Property is owned by Country Roads, LLC, located in Bluemont, Virginia. It consists of 61.67 acres. The Schreiber Property is currently being used for cattle and horses. Since the property is in Country-defined agricultural use, the protection of this use qualifies as an important conservation purpose for “Agricultural Use.”

The property contains unnamed streams that feed into the north fork of Goose Creek which then feeds into the Potomac River and ultimately the Chesapeake Bay. This property meets the criteria for conservation based on the scenic value of the property. The adjacent easements allow for a larger view shed of undeveloped land. The Schreiber Property falls within the Journey Through Hallowed Ground National Heritage Area.

About ODLC

Founded to protect land and water resources for their natural, scenic, recreational, historic, and agricultural values, the Old Dominion Land Conservancy (ODLC) also seeks to educate the public on why land conservancy is so very important and so easily overlooked.

ODLC accepts land donations, but also tailors conservation easements to meet the specific needs and conservation purposes of each landowner and ODLC. We have been hard at our task for the past 15 years.
