Land Donations

There are no size limits for land conservation easements. ODLC accepts donations of land to protect, conserve and guarantee that the land will be protected for all time. The land and its relevance is key, not size. For example, we have been instrumental in conserving properties from over 600 acres down to just a little over one acre.

  1. Airmont Farms - 644.37 acres
  2. Egypt Farm - 532.44 acres
  3. Turtle Creek - 90 acres
  4. Bluemont Overlook - 42.1 acres
  5. Happy Clam - 1.21 acres

No matter the size, after the donation, ODLC will assume the responsibility of protecting the land, overseeing its restoring, while ensuring the land's health and scenic views are maintained in accordance with the terms and conditions of the conservation easement.

About ODLC

Founded to protect land and water resources for their natural, scenic, recreational, historic, and agricultural values, the Old Dominion Land Conservancy (ODLC) also seeks to educate the public on why land conservancy is so very important and so easily overlooked.

ODLC accepts land donations, but also tailors conservation easements to meet the specific needs and conservation purposes of each landowner and ODLC. We have been hard at our task for the past 15 years.
