Chamblin Property

The 95.49 acre Chamblin property is wooded with streams and a pond. It is currently approved for development of 19 housing lots. The gift of easement will curtail the development rights to one home site and no division of the property. The property is adjacent to several other conservation easements allowing for a greater area for habitat development and animal movement.

The Chamblin property falls within the Journey Through Hallowed Ground National Heritage Area. This area was designated through legislation passed on April 29, 2008. Signed by President Bush, the JTHG NHA recognizes the unparalleled cultural, historic and scenic resources within the entire JTHG corridor, encompassing all or part of 15 counties in 4 states: Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia and Virginia.

The land is almost completely wooded and is under a forestry Management Plan with the County of Loudoun.

About ODLC

Founded to protect land and water resources for their natural, scenic, recreational, historic, and agricultural values, the Old Dominion Land Conservancy (ODLC) also seeks to educate the public on why land conservancy is so very important and so easily overlooked.

ODLC accepts land donations, but also tailors conservation easements to meet the specific needs and conservation purposes of each landowner and ODLC. We have been hard at our task for the past 15 years.
